Zhiheng Ashley Zhang is a curator and art history researcher based in New York and Beijing.
Her research interests encompass socially engaged art, curatorial studies dating back to the 1970s, as well as the intersections between art, technology, and science.
She holds Master’s degrees from New York University and the University of Barcelona, in addition to a Bachelor’s degree from the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
Currently, she is working independently in New York City, curating for various art organizations. Prior to her move to New York, she collaborated with prominent Art Institutions in China, including UCCA, CAFAM, the National Art Museum of China, and the Beijing Times Museum.
Her curatorial practices consistently aim to maximize the impact of visual elements, resulting in meticulously curated exhibitions that resonate with a diverse audience, achieving a harmonious balance between the pedagogical and aesthetic aspects of each exhibition.
